Start your day in our charming dining room with the breakfast of your choice at individual room tables. Breakfast is available to guests normally between 8am - 9am.

However, we are more than pleased to accommodate earlier or later breakfast times by arrangement, or a takeaway breakfast can be prepared if required.

In addition to tea, coffee, cereals and fruit juices guests can make a selection from a variety of menu items including...

  • The delicious Hearty Breakfast of free range eggs, crispy bacon, succulent sausages, grilled tomato, baked beans and golden fried bread, followed by toast and a variety of marmalade and jams will set guests up for a day's exploring and sightseeing.

  • A Vegetarian Hearty Breakfast alternative to above.

  • Enjoy a Healthy Breakfast of Muesli, cereals, grapefruit segments, prunes, a variety of yoghurts, fresh fruit salad and fruit juices.

Other Choices are available including scrambled and poached free range eggs. The eggs are fresh and free range from a local farm where the hens live in a specially constructed abode known as 'Hensington Palace'!

Packed Lunches

Packed lunches can be provided, if pre-ordered the evening before, at a cost of £6 per person and includes the following:

  • A selection of fillings served on either wholemeal or white bread
  • A piece of fruit
  • A packet of crisps
  • A cereal or chocolate bar
  • A piece of homemade cake
  • A bottle of water
  • Your own flask filled with tea or coffee

On Arrival

Upon arrival, complimentary tea and coffee can be served in the dining room, by prior arrangement, to help you relax after your journey.

We also provide the option of pre-ordering sandwiches or toasties to have with your complimentary drinks at a cost of £2.95 per person

Eating Out

From Rose Cottage it is quite literally a 5 minute stroll for guests to the local pub, the White Horse Inn, where good bar food and real ales are served. No need to drink and drive.

A more challenging climb up St Thomas Hill will enable guests to sample Launceston's hotel and restaurant menus. Guests can enjoy the wonderful views as they amble back downhill to Rose Cottage.

Eat In - Takeaway

Guests are more than welcome to order takeaway meals from any of the local restaurants and consume within the dining room area. We are more than happy to provide plates and cutlery.
